Saying Goodbye to Summer

We all love the endless long hours of sunshine, the trips to the beach, or swimming. There is so much to do in summer that we are all sad to see it leave. I'm looking forward to fall, but I'm going to make the most out of my last few weeks of summer. Over labor day weekend my hubby and I will be taking a small road trip to visit family and friends in his home-town. We are hoping this weekend will be full of laughter, ice-cold drinks, sunshine, and happiness.

I am saying goodbye to summer by spending a weekend in Seattle with family friends. I am also going to be reunited with a good friend who has spent the entire summer in Ireland. A few of my best friends and I will be going to the Oregon coast for a fun little trip. I am also going to start buying decorations for my new apartment as the end of September comes closer!

I can't believe that summer is almost over! It makes me so sad. However, it's time now to say goodbye to summer and hello to Autumn with it's changing colors, cooler temperatures, and fun fall fashions. There's no better way to say goodbye to summer than having one last summer fling and going to the beach. I decided to venture out to the Eastern Shore in Virginia near Chincoteague. Not only was I able to enjoy some sunbathing, drinking milkshakes, and hiking with my pup, but I also got to enjoy my last beach trip of the summer.

For me, saying goodbye to Summer would definitely mean going out with a big ol' bash.  In this case, I will be inviting a bunch of my friends over for a housewarming party at my new home (first time home owner right here!) and we'll party it up late into the evening.  Since it's Summer, I'm hoping to be able to do some of the partying out in the yard enjoying the last warm days of the year and hopefully a BBQ and some good cold drinks!

I'm saying goodbye to summer by enjoying the last few weeks in the sun (if I can), enjoying this time bbq-ing with my family, having cocktails and maybe going to a drive-in theater.

Although I am sad to see summer go, I had an awesome time with my friends and family! To say good-bye, we are all taking one last trip camping to enjoy nature and each other's company.
