As you know, I typically do a monthly, "What am I listening to post." Well today, I'm changing it up a little bit and I'll be writing about what I'm not listening to right now.

Spotify Hacks + What's on my playlist now?

I apologize for such a short list this month! I've actually been trying to listen to audiobooks when I drive so I haven't been picking up on new music from the radio as much as before. I also have really been jamming out to the "Hanging Out and Relaxing" Spotify playlist which doesn't really have any brand-new music for me to share. But here it is anyways! 

1. Earned it by The Weeknd. It took me so long to realize that he actually misspelled his name on purpose. Also this is from Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, so another thumbs up to this song.
2. Elastic Heart by Sia.
3. Unapologetic Bitch by Madonna. Madonna will never get old. She is great!
4. Truffle Butter by Nicki Minaj featuring Drake and Lil Wayne. I don't think you want to know what kind of truffle butter she's talking about....or do you?
5. Ice Princess by Azealia Banks. I really don't like her, especially for how she has hated on Iggy but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. 
6. Planes by Jeremih and J. Cole. Such a sexy song! J. Cole always does it for me. 
7. Movement and Location by Punch Brothers. I guess this is kind of country-ish and I typically don't like country. The main singer's voice just gets me and kind of reminds me of a more bluegrassy version of MuteMath which is my FAVORITE BAND EVER. Punch Brothers are actually playing at a small music club called the 930 Club that's near me, but of course when I found that out, they were already sold out. 

Lastly, here is a Spotify hack that I didn't even realize I was doing until I downloaded the desktop app. So I usually listen to spotify on the web app on my chrome browser. I also have the app Ad Block Plus for Chrome, which sucks for browsing blogs because sponsors, passionfruit, etc. won't show up BUT is great for Spotify! If you have Ad Block Plus activated while listening to Spotify on your browser, it will entirely skip the ads and commercials, thus leaving you with only music tracks! Yay for hacks.

This is in no specific order, I typically listen on shuffle anyways!

1. I Don't Mind by Usher and Juicy J. Has anyone else listened to the lyrics of this song?! What man would be okay with dating a stripper? Also, if I was a stripped dating Usher, I would tell him, "No, I don't want to make my money, you pay for me now." Still love the beat and you can catch me singing every lyric in my drive-in to work though.
2. Burnin' Up by Jessie J featuring 2 Chainz.
3. You Know You Like It by DJ Snake and AlunaGeorge. I just love that hip hop snare drum thing. You know what I'm talking about.
4. She Came To Give It To You by Usher.
5. She Knows by Usher and Ne-Yo. Umm...holy hell Usher and Ne-yo, taking over the scene here...
6. Time of Our Lives by Pitbull and Ne-Yo.
7. #ICantEven by The Neighborhood and French Montana. The most surprising combination ever, right? Well it works perfectly. This was on my December playlist but I like it so much it's staying on January's playlist. Give it a listen.

9. Heroes (we could be) by Alesso featuring Tove Lo.

This year has been chock-full of great songs. I definitely like listening to catchy songs over and over, so my way of doing this is making seasonal playlists of the best hits. Recently I've been making playlists twice a season. Since this is the first time I'm doing this, please be aware that I have a crazy music taste and listen to anything and everything except country (no offense to you country lovers, but my Canadian blood prohibits me). Side-note, I end up liking music so much better when it has a good music video. I can spend hours watching music videos. #9 has a really interest music video, very movie-like. My boyfriend keeps catching me watching this video and listening to the song and he keeps saying that "I'm turning ghetto", whatever.



Beyonce always has great music videos, but I just watched this recently and I swear she has to be on some sort of drugs. But, whatever drugs they are, she needs to share with me!
