Eight Clues That You Have Resting Bitch Face

Have you ever heard the term "RBF" or "Resting Bitch Face", because I totally have. I self-diagnosed myself with RBF in 2006. Urban Dictionary (my go-to for any colloqualisms) defines RBF as "a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to." Often, this phenomenon goes unnoticed, but here are some key clues that you have Resting Bitch Face.

Clue Number One: People often come up to you and ask if you are upset about something or if you're having a bad day.

Clue Number Two: Strangers rarely approach you for directions, ask the time, ask to pet your dog, or anything of the sorts. Sometimes, they even directly avoid you or move out of your way.

Clue Number Three: It's hard to make new friends because when you meet people for the first time, they think that you hate them.

Clue Number Four: On that note, flirting is also a struggle because your RBF scares away all the cute ones.

Clue Number Five: When you make a joke, people are unsure to laugh or not because they can't tell if you're serious or joking.

Clue Number Six: You often get called into your boss's office to discuss "how you're liking your job," because every one at the office thinks you want to secretly kill them.

Clue Number Seven: Candid photos always end up making you look sullen, hungry, upset, or all of the above.

Clue Number Eight: Often people say that you remind them of Rihanna, Anna Wintour, Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart, or Victoria Beckham.

What Does Your Coffee Say About You?

I would never claim to be a coffee drinker. I actually only started drinking coffee about three/four years ago. I however, am adept at judging people from a distance. And since I've developed a recent obsession with Chai Lattes in the morning, I've had much time to assess the average coffee drinker by what they order.

The Latte Drinker

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you definitely rock the the Resting Bitch Face. You're most often seen in a pair of blue jeans and your favorite button-down. 

The Iced Coffee Drinker

The most laid-back and relaxed of the crowd. You're patient and make friends easily. Not afraid to be a trend-setter, you march to the beat of your own drum. Most likely seen in designer sweats or yoga pants.

The Frappuccino Drinker

You're not technically considered a coffee drinker by most of society. You honestly would prefer an ice cream, but think a Frappuccino is a more socially acceptable alternative at 8:00 a.m. You're most often seen wandering into Starbucks in your college sweaters or sorority tees.

The Espresso or Americano Drinker

You are a go-getter. You have places to be and people to see. You know what needs to be accomplished and will get it done. However, you can come off as rough around the edges and moody. The more extra shots you order, the safer it is to assume that you stayed up working way too late last night (and should not be bothered today). Your favorite accessory is your iPhone with at least three email accounts linked to it.
