Hi! Thank you for stopping by my little online space! I'm Alanna. Pronounced "uh-lah-nuh". I eat, I blog, and I travel. I’m an outgoing-introvert, and a procrastinator-perfectionist, and I rarely say no to a challenge. Now, say hello to Starla. She's the "company" in Alanna & Company. She's my little spoon, my entertainer, and the one thing that keeps me sane. She's a four year old Cattle Dog mix (maybe with Beagle?) and is the loudest, smartest, and silliest princess of a dog that you'll ever met.



I'm Canadian born and bred but am now a Washingtonian for the past fourteen years. I couldn't love D.C. more and I'm constantly in awe with the history and beauty of my city.

By day, I organize and coordinate conventions. When I'm not on the daily grind, you’re likely to find me exploring nature with Starla, discovering neat eateries, watching TV marathons, brunching in the city, or drinking wine.

About the Blog

I'm a lifestyle blogger, but what the hell is a lifestyle blog anyways? I guess that just means that I can post about whatever I want, whenever I want. Sounds like a good deal to me! Depending on my mood, I write about my city, my life with an adopted cattle dog, my daily struggles with makeup and hair styling, my aspiration to be a foodie, my love for books, my sweet tooth for wine and champagne, and my various, random daily thoughts.
